Another Important Literacy for Kids
When you hear the word literacy, you probably think of the ability to read and write. But did you know there is a concept called physical literacy? Just as young people need to develop reading and writing skills, they also need to develop fundamental movement skills. The best time to learn these skills is when children are young and their minds and bodies are developing-and also when they're fearless! Unlike an adult, a child will not hesitate to try a somersault or a cartwheel. The skills children master when they are young will allow them to have the confidence to be active later on in life. So make sure your kids play, move and challenge their bodies with a variety of fun activities.
