Given that Eating Well with Canada's Food Guide recommends limiting foods and beverages high in calories, fat, sugar or sodium (salt) such as: cakes, pastries, doughnuts, chocolate, candies, ice cream, frozen desserts, deep fried and salty snacks, the Healthy U Food Checker does not include the criteria to analyze these. This also includes specialty coffee/tea/beverages. When choosing these types of foods and beverages, choose a small portion size; no more than 100 calories per serving.
