¼ tsp or 1 ml Nutmeg
1 tsp or 5 ml Cinnamon
2 Large eggs
3 tbsp or 45 ml Melted butter, unsalted
2 Apples, peeled and thinly sliced
2 cups or 500 ml Skim milk
2 tbsp or 25 ml Lemon juice
2 cups or 500 ml Whole grain flour
2 tbsp or 25 ml Granulated sugar
1 tsp or 5 ml Baking powder
1 tsp or 5 ml Baking soda
  Light maple syrup for serving (optional)

Granny sure knows what kids like. These tasty pancakes will become a family favourite. Don’t count on leftovers.

Whisk eggs, melted butter and soured milk in a medium bowl. Add to flour mixture with the apples. Lightly grease a large frying pan and heat over medium heat. Spoon mixture into hot pan. Cook until bubbles start to appear on the top of the pancakes. Flip and cook for 2 minutes or until golden.

Optional: Serve with maple syrup if desired
