Corn Chowder

2 Bacon slices, diced
1/4 cup or 60 ml Chopped onion
1/4 cup or 60 ml Chopped green or red pepper
1 tbsp or 15 ml All-purpose flour
2 cupa or 500 ml Skim milk
2 x 14 oz/398 ml cans Cream-style corn, low-sodium
1 tsp or 5 ml Parsley flakes
Dash Hot pepper sauce
Sprinkle Pepper
  1. Fry the bacon in a saucepan until crisp.  Do not drain.
  2. Add the onion and green pepper. Saute for 2 minutes until soft.
  3. Sprinkle the flour over the vegetables.  Stir well.
  4. Slowly add the milk and corn, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a simmer. 
  5. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Add the remaining ingredients. 
  6. Stir well and enjoy!
